1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SubScanner ("the Service") at subscanner.now, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SubScanner is a personal finance tool that helps users identify recurring subscription charges from their connected bank accounts. The Service uses Plaid to securely access read-only financial data and displays recurring transactions to authenticated users.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use SubScanner. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

5. Bank Connection & Plaid

SubScanner uses Plaid to connect to your financial accounts. By connecting your bank account, you:

• Authorize SubScanner to access your transaction data via Plaid
• Agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy at plaid.com/legal
• Understand that SubScanner has read-only access and cannot move funds
• Can disconnect your bank account at any time through your account settings

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service to process data belonging to other individuals

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

SubScanner is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will detect every subscription charge
• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The financial data displayed is 100% accurate at all times

SubScanner is a detection and awareness tool. Always verify important financial information directly with your bank.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SubScanner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to financial losses.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us at zivtenen@gmail.com.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
